About Me

I was born on March 6, 1979. After graduating from Samsun Anatolian High School, I completed my medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and my residency training in Child Health and Diseases at Zeynep Kamil Women and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital. Following my compulsory service in Çarşamba, Samsun, after residency, I worked in Istanbul as a specialist physician at Koşuyolu Medipol Hospital and Taksim Acıbadem Hospital, and as a faculty member at Okan University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. Later, during my time at Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın Hospital, I began the PhD program in Social Pediatrics at Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences in 2020 and received the title of Associate Professor in 2024.

I continue my academic work at Atlas University at both national and international levels.

Education and Experience

2002 – 2004 | Medical Education (Undergraduate & Master’s)

Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine

I completed my medical education at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. These were the foundational years during which I began to evaluate child health not only through diseases, but also in relation to development, family, and living conditions.

2004 – 2009 | Residency Training (Child Health and Diseases)

Zeynep Kamil Women and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital

I completed my residency training in Child Health and Diseases at Zeynep Kamil. Within clinical practice, I shaped my holistic follow-up approach spanning from the newborn period through adolescence.

2009 – 2010 | Compulsory Service

Samsun / Çarşamba

After residency, I completed my compulsory service in Çarşamba, Samsun. Working in the field enabled me to better understand families’ real-life conditions, access to resources, and the importance of preventive medicine.

2010 – 2013 | Specialist Physician

Koşuyolu Medipol Hospital

I worked in Istanbul as a specialist physician. For every child I followed, I focused not on one-time treatment, but on establishing a safe and continuous follow-up plan.

2013 – 2016 | Specialist Physician

Taksim Acıbadem Hospital

While deepening my clinical experience, I placed parent guidance, growth and development monitoring, and preventive medicine at the center of my daily practice.

2016 – 2019 | Faculty Member

Okan University Faculty of Medicine Hospital

I provided clinical care while also taking an active role in academic production and medical education. During this period, I further strengthened my evidence-based approach that integrates knowledge with practice.

2019 – Present | Clinical Role

Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital

I continue my work with a holistic approach that addresses child health together with children’s physical, emotional, developmental, and social needs.

2020 – Ongoing | PhD (Social Pediatrics)

Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences

I began the PhD program in Social Pediatrics in 2020. I deepened my academic perspective with a focus on family-centered preventive health practices, early childhood, and psychosocial influences.

2024 – Present | Academic Title

Associate Professor

I was awarded the title of Associate Professor on March 26, 2024. By supporting my clinical experience with academic work, I continue to build sustainable follow-up plans that families can trust.
